Three things spotted during Vitaliy Mykolenko’s Everton reveal
Everton wasted no time in confirming their first signing of the January transfer window with the announcement of a deal for Vitaliy Mykolenko.
The 22-year-old left-back joins the Dynamo Kyiv Blues on a four-and-a-half-year contract, but what can we learn from the photographs that show him for the first time in an Everton shirt?
“Ni-ni-ni 19” sang Paul Hardcastle on his 1985 Vietnam War synth-pop chart and this is the number Mykolenko will wear for Everton.
The shirt became available after James Rodriguez’s stint at Qatari club Al-Rayyan in September.
Djibril Sidibe, Oumar Niasse, Enner Valencia, Gerard Deulofeu, Christian Atsu, Magaye Gueye, Dan Gosling, Nuno Valente, Nick Chadwick, Joe-Max Moore, Abel Xavier, John Oster, Marc Hottiger and Stuart Barlow.
Mykolenko posed with a gesture “on the phone” so maybe we can see such routines if he scores for Everton?
He hasn’t found the net in 21 appearances so far this season, but has scored seven goals in total in his career so far – one in 2018/19, four in 2019/20 and two in 2020/21.
The left-back is leaving his former club on good terms and their English Twitter account announced his exit with the message: “Dynamo Kiev would like to thank Vitaliy for the years he spent with the White-Blues and wish him success. success in the English Prime Minister. League. “
Benitez not spotted
Mykolenko might not be the only new face arriving at Finch Farm this month – Benitez said yesterday: ‘I’m pretty confident we’ll do a couple of things’ – but the Blues boss himself doesn’t ‘appears in none of the photographs published so far. .
Former football manager Marcel Brands, who was featured often, has obviously left the club, but unlike in the past where Benitez was regularly pictured greeting signings on their arrival, the Spaniard is not featured.
To be fair, the 61-year-old hasn’t been pictured alongside his summer signings either, but while Mykolenko’s official transfer fees aren’t being disclosed, it’s safe to say he’s the most big buy from Benitez as manager of Everton so far.

Instead, the only thing present to break the background at an unusually mild winter time for the UK time of year was the green leaves of a plant in the hallways of Finch Farm which gave the Halewood club training base a positively tropical feel!
