Thomas Tuchel reacts to Christian Pulisic’s performance for Chelsea FC against Liverpool FC

Thomas Tuchel claimed there was still room for improvement from Christian Pulisic despite his impressive performance in Chelsea FC’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool FC on Sunday.
The USA international has only won his seventh Premier League start of the season for the Reds’ visit and impressed with a lively performance in southwest London.
After his side were down 2-0 thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Pulisic scored the equalizer for Chelsea FC on the stroke of half-time when he netted a quality goal in the top corner after that Mateo Kovavic repelled a goal for the Blues with a stunning volley.
Pulisic has now scored three Premier League goals this season and is hoping to add to that tally with a more consistent run in the first team under Tuchel.
Despite his lively performance on Sunday, Blues boss Tuchel still believes the 23-year-old still has a lot of work to do to step up his game.
When asked to rate Pulisic’s performance after the game, Tuchel replied, âThere is still room for improvement.
“I know him even better [he can be] more clinical, more precise. How to find a way out of this little hole [is] with games like this, with goals like this. That’s it.
“He was strong, he finally helped out as a defender and was a huge step forward for him today.”
Meanwhile, Pulisic himself admitted it was a privilege to be involved in such an exciting meeting as both teams ended up losing points to give Manchester City an extra edge in the title race.
“We have so many good players – it was a fantastic game,” Pulisic said after the game. [Kovacicâs] goal⦠there was so much fun going on. It was a buzz to be there today, honestly.
âFor Kova it was amazing. I’ve never seen him score such a goal so it was fun to watch.
Pulisic added: “I was lucky at the start, I wish I could have finished, it could have been a game-changer. But we showed a good fight to get back into the game.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward has scored three goals and assisted in 16 appearances across all competitions this season – despite having started only eight of those games.
The next step for Chelsea FC is their home clash against Tottenham in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
