Welcome to our live coverage of Reading FC transfer news on Deadline Day.

We’ll bring you all the latest information on the Royals and their rivals until the 11pm deadline.

This is when the January window closes permanently and does not reopen until summer.

However, free agents can still be signed, so all is not lost if Reading doesn’t get a deal on the line by 11pm.

The club continues to operate under an English Football League transfer embargo, which makes it extremely difficult to secure deals.

Boss Veljko Paunovic has made one signing so far – Karl Hein on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season.

Goalkeeper Rafael also left while Andy Carroll agreed a deal with West Brom at the end of last week following his two-month stint with the Royals.

Reading have been linked in recent days with Liverpool’s Rhys Williams and Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi but they shouldn’t be too busy heading into the deadline.
