Michigan Football Recruitment: Alessandro Lorenzetti Pledges
You see him all the time, a player who isn’t highly rated but has some big offers and ends up being more productive than the big brands when it comes to recruiting.
While his fate has yet to be defined, that could very well be the case for Michigan’s latest football engagement.
Just days ago, three-star offensive tackle Loomis Chaffee of 2022 Windsor (CT) named a top three that included Michigan, rival Michigan State and compatriot Big Ten Penn State. Lorenzetti had been considered a skinny MSU, but in recent days he started collecting predictions from 247Sports Crystal Ball that he would become a Wolverine.
And Friday night, he did, by entering Michigan.

From our previous article on Lorenzetti:
There are several reasons why Lorenzetti was not rated against some of the other prominent linemen in the class. No.1, he is originally from Montreal, Quebec in Canada, but second, he also plays high school football now in the often undervalued New England.
Lorenzetti is 6-foot-6, 285 pounds, and has eight 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions all indicating he will eventually become a Wolverine. He made his official visit to Ann Arbor from June 18-20 during the Visitors’ Weekend.
With Lorenzetti in the fold, it is Michigan’s second engagement on Friday and 12th overall in 2022.
