PROVO, Utah – Summer has just officially started, but it already feels like BYU football is here. The 2022 BYU Football Media Day takes place today at the BYU Broadcasting Building on campus.

This year’s Media Day festivities are the last of the independence era. BYU has been an independent FBS since 2011, but starting in 2023 the Cougs will be members of the Big 12 Conference.

But first, Kalani Sitake’s program has to take care of a schedule that includes five Power Five programs. Four of those five could feature in the AP Top 25 preseason poll this fall.

BYU has high expectations for this season as they finished 19th in the final standings last year. They have the second most recurring production in college football for the coming year.

KSL Sports will have you covered throughout the day to keep you up to date with the latest from the latest installment of BYU Football Media Day as an independent program.

Check back here for updates throughout the day.
