Ex-Everton striker Kevin Campbell delighted with Liverpool return
Liverpool have been told by a former Everton player that bringing Harvey Elliott back would “bring the feel-good factor” to the club.
Elliott has been injured since September, after suffering a dislocated ankle in the win over Leeds United at Elland Road.
After undergoing surgery just days after the injury, the 18-year-old improved his fitness before making his return to the team.
Prior to his injury, Elliott had started three of Liverpool’s first four Premier League games in midfield.
Elliott made his return to action this weekend as he featured in a closed-door friendly for Liverpool Under-23s against Wrexham.
The teenager scored a goal and provided an assist in the game which took place at the AXA training center in Kirkby.
With Liverpool back in action this weekend in the FA Cup against Cardiff City, there are rumors that Elliott could return to the first team in this game.
Former Everton and Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has praised Elliott for his speedy recovery from the injury he suffered more than four months ago.
Campbell went on to explain why Elliott’s return to action would dramatically improve the atmosphere and mood around Liverpool.
