Aston Villa are set for a busy end to the transfer window as they consider loaning out more development players in the Football League.

Swindon Town are long-time admirers of Louie Barry and hope to sign the striker until the end of the season.

The Robins would also like to re-sign Kaine Kesler, the right-back who spent the first half of the season at the club but was recalled by Steven Gerrard after an impressive display in the FA Cup loss to Manchester City. Championship and Ligue 1 clubs are also interested, and Villa will let him go temporarily following the signing of Calum Chambers.

Rotherham, Fleetwood Town and MK Dons are all interested in Villa winger Tyriek Wright and a number of clubs are still eyeing striker Brad Young who scored twice in the U23’s 4-1 win over Reading on Monday .

Elsewhere, Mungo Bridge has returned from a loan spell at Annecy and will not return this season as he is injured.

A late decision will be made on Tim Iroegbunam, the midfielder who has made the matchday squad a few times but is yet to feature.

Villa’s choice for a defensive midfielder will determine whether he goes on loan or not.

It is understood that defenders Lamare Bogarde and Sil Swinkels will remain at Villa for the time being.
