Kylian Mbappe insists his main objective is to help PSG beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, amid heavy speculation linking him with a move to the Bernabeu.

The 23-year-old has been touted to join the Spanish side on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer following a failed move last year.

According to German news outlet BILD, Mbappe will sign a five-year contract on a £40m-a-year salary at Madrid.

However, the France international remains tight-lipped about what his future holds ahead of his current club’s Champions League draw against Los Blancos.

‘If I made a decision about my future? No,” Mbappe told Amazon Prime Video (via The Mirror).

“Playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things. Although I have the freedom to do what I want right now, I’m not going to talk with a rival or do that kind of thing.

“I’m focused on winning against Real Madrid. And then we’ll see what happens.

Real Madrid travel to the Parc des Princes on February 15 for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, before PSG travel to the Bernabeu three weeks later.

Both games could definitely be interesting for Mbappe if he knows he will wear Madrid’s white next season.

PSG continue to try to persuade the striker to stay in the French capital, having turned down Florentino Perez’s £170million offer on transfer deadline day last summer.
