Gemma Owen isn’t the only Love Island star with a famous Liverpool FC parent

While most Love Island fans are more than aware that Gemma Owen is the daughter of former Liverpool footballer Michael Owen, they might not be aware that another islander also has links to the LFC.
The series’ new bombshell, Jay Younger, entered the villa on Tuesday. Joining 22-year-old model Remi Lambert is Edinburgh investment analyst Jay.
Like Gemma, Jay revealed that he also has a famous parent in the sports world.

When asked if he had any claims to fame, Jay said: “My grandfather played for Liverpool and he was captain of Scotland in the 1950s. He was in the Liverpool Hall of Fame and he was in the Hibernian FC Hall of Fame.”
Jay’s grandfather is Scottish football star Tommy Younger. He made his Liverpool debut in August 1956, with his final appearance for the club coming three years later, reports the Mirror.
The goalkeeper also captained Scotland’s 1958 World Cup squad and played for his country on a few occasions.
This summer, Jay is looking for love and says his friends and family would describe him as ‘pretty modest’, but he vows to be the center of the party, adding: ‘They would probably describe me as quite modest , but they say I’m probably the heart of the party.

“I think I’m at the point in my life where it would be quite fun to find someone and have fun along the way. And doing that in Mallorca and Villa would be a great opportunity, so why not ?”
However, he could make a lot of noise in the villa as he admits he is very ‘indecisive’.
“I think I’m going to be a supportive islander, I think I’m going to bring a lot of fun. Hopefully some good laughs along the way and maybe some indecisive decisions,” he shared.
However, he thinks he’s a good catch, adding: “I think I really have what most women want. I have a good job, I think I’m a good looking boy and I’m having fun. a lot, so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their life if they add a lot of value to mine.”
