JÃ¼rgen Klopp has not reported any new injury issues ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League trip to FC Porto, with Naby Keita set to return.
Midfielder Keita missed Saturday’s draw with Brentford due to a foot problem suffered in last week’s Carabao Cup victory at Norwich City, but took part in training before the flight from Monday to Portugal.
It only means Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott are excluded from the Group B match at the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday night.
“A big, a big team will travel. We have 23 players with us,” Klopp told the media ahead of Monday’s session.
âLonger term injuries aside, I think they’re all in it. So no Thiago, no Harvey, the rest is availableâ¦ no new concerns just yet. Hope it stays that way. that.”
from Porto Chancel Mbemba is suspended, while Grandpa is a doubt after missing practice Monday.
“We’ll see tomorrow [Tuesday]”said coach Sergio Conceicao of the potential availability of the veteran center-back.
Regarding the Reds, Conceicao said: “It’s always difficult to play against Liverpool. The two times we played against them they were finalists and that shows their strength.
“The identity of Liverpool, like ours, has not changed. We are up against an opponent who for me at certain points in the game are the best team in the world.”
