Richarlison, speaking to TNT Sports, was asked if there was a team he would rather not win in the Champions League.
And, thanks to the rivalry he’s had on Merseyside since arriving in the summer of 2018, he was quick to share his response.
He admitted: “From here in England, I’d rather Liverpool didn’t win. Because like it or not, it’s like you said, they’re a rival and we don’t want the guys win.
“Because there are jokes, total jokes, Liverpool fans go on social media to make fun of us. So if I had to choose, I would choose Liverpool not to win.”
Richarlison has scored 47 goals in 134 appearances in all competitions for Everton since leaving Watford, including a crucial first goal in the Blues’ 2-0 win at Anfield in February 2021.
