Barcelona continue life without Ronald Koeman without having yet officially made a long-term coaching appointment, yet Eric Garcia is just focusing on improving, with the Spain defender admitting there have been games where he could have performed better.

Garcia arrived on a free transfer from Manchester city, but has yet to have the dominating impact that many predicted he would have upon his return.

“I’m the first to be self-critical and I know I have to improve … I know there have been games where I could have done better”, Garcia explained during his pre-match press conference.

“I’ve been working on improving myself for a while, just hope I can get to Barcelona for a long time and help the team as best I can.

“When I made the decision to come here I was sure and it hasn’t changed. We have a great team and although the results are not what we could wish for, there is still a long way to go. browse in the season. ”

A trip to Kiev is never easy for a team with the amount of external factors influencing playing conditions, especially at this time of year, and the former Manchester City defender has no illusions about the difficulty of a trip.

“We all know how difficult it will be because of the travel and the weather”, Garcia added.

“At home they made life difficult for us and it won’t be any different away from home. Nevertheless, the team is ready mentally and physically.”

Barcelonathe shape of has been poor lately, but Garcia thinks the interim coach, Sergi Barjuan, brings about positive changes.

“Sergi is helping the team. He has to make us stronger”, Garcia continued.

“The team is in good mental shape even though it’s not the best time. We’re motivated and we want to turn the tide. We’re going to be fine.

“We have had results that are unfavorable to us, but I am sure that with some changes in the coach, if we have good results, we will grow as a team.”
