Chelsea fans would rather retain the Champions League title than win the Premier League next season
Chelsea supporters have delivered their hopes for the 2021/22 season.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are just over a week away from the start of their Premier League campaign which begins at home against Crystal Palace on August 14.
Meanwhile, their Champions League campaign begins in September, with the group stage draw due to take place in late August.
Before the new season, Absolute Chelsea asked Chelsea fans what their goals are for the new season and what trophies they would like to win.
In a survey conducted by Absolute Chelsea, Fans have been asked to choose between winning the Champions League next season or winning the Premier League title.
The poll got just under 20,000 entries and ended up with a split of 47.4% and 52.6%.
Chelsea fans, while everyone wants both, have decided they would rather retain their Champions League title following their May triumph in Porto against Manchester City.
The Blues haven’t won the Premier League since 2016/17 under Antonio Conte and they’ll be keen to get back to the top of the tree in England.
What was said?
Timo Werner has offered his goals for the new season – he wants to win a trophy and doesn’t care which one it is.
“We want to win a title; it doesn’t matter which. The best thing would be the Champions League again, but the Premier League is also an important goal. One of those titles is our goal.”
