CB coach Zac Etheridge delivers message on Twitter

With the decision to keep head coach Bryan Harsin made on Friday, it’s time to move on. One of the head coach’s biggest priorities for his second year is keeping top assistant Zac Etheridge in-house.
Recently, the cornerbacks coach was among the top candidates for the vacant position with the Georgia Bulldogs. Given the uncertainty surrounding Harsin’s future, it would be completely understandable for the assistants to gauge interest in other training opportunities.
But when it comes to Etheridge, he’s not just any other staff assistant. He has been part of the Auburn family for a long time. He joined Bryan Harsin’s original team at his alma mater after being part of the Houston Cougars and ULL team before that. Etheridge was captain of the national championship team in 2010. He knows what it means to be an Auburn Tiger.
On Saturday, Etheridge took to Twitter to quell any rumors of him leaving the team he helped bring the crystal ball to.
“No time for division,” Etheridge tweeted. ” We are united. ALL IN. 1-0″

The Tigers’ top scout seems to be staying where he belongs. Etheridge was recently ranked among the nation’s top scouts and is an integral part of Bryan Harsin’s staff. We will consider this a victory for Harsin, the staff and the Auburn family.
