Adem Bona drops list, will host Kentucky Basketball for visit ahead of decision
After a quick start in the class of 2022, things could pick up here for the Kentucky Wildcats in the coming weeks.
Not only is Cason Wallace, a 5-star combo guard from Texas, expected to enlist on November 7, but Adem Bona’s recruiting is also set to end soon.
John Calipari and his team have been pushing for 6-foot-9 center Bona for some time now, and he’s now their main target on the front row after missing Dereck Lively. While pushing for Lively, the Wildcats unwittingly opened the door for other suitors. months have been for the Bruins.
After an official visit to Kentucky in early October, Bona, who lives in Napa (CA), paid an official visit to UCLA this weekend. With more and more momentum behind the Bruins, it looks like Kentucky wants to try and squeeze in front with the end getting closer.
KSR’s Jack Pilgrim reports that Kentucky has a home visit scheduled with Bona on Monday.

Additionally, On3’s Joe Tipton reports that Bona has officially downsized his Kentucky and UCLA roster, with a decision expected to come very soon.

Calipari and Chin Coleman visited Bona in California, already leading to his official in Lexington earlier this month. Considering Bona reportedly wanted to make up her mind after her last visit to UCLA this weekend, this could be the last chance to make a recruiting pitch to bring Bona to Lexington.
The Wildcats and Bruins have been neck and neck over the past few weeks, but making sure they have the final say rather than the Bruins having the last impression is a big decision for Calipari. We won’t have to wait long to see if this pays off.
